To take the IDBS annual international client conference to new heights, showcase their London roots and celebrate their 25th anniversary in true style – while sticking to a modest budget.


As a UK company founded in London we suggested celebrating the ‘Best of Britain’ at every opportunity. We also had to remain flexible to accommodate changes that would occur during the nine-month lead-time.

An ultra stylish central London hotel provided a chic backdrop that could be simply dressed with low cost sets and high impact graphics to great effect. Consulting on and obtaining the best sponsors boosted the budget. Arranging a two day training course for all IDBS presenters and booking ‘must-hear’ guest speakers greatly enhanced the event’s professionalism. All social events followed the British theme with cucumber sandwiches, Coronation Chicken and Eton Mess together with great British sports at the Welcome Reception and securing the little known vaults under the Globe Theatre for the Gala Dinner. Meticulous planning allowed us to accommodate a raft of last minute guest and sponsors without fuss. For those unable to attend, the event was accessible via the internet and social media promoted it through an interactive game.


Our proactive approach helped make a modest budget look like a million dollars, dramatically enhancing IDBS’ reputation as a leading international player in high-end data management. We repeated this successful formula the following year in the USA.
